Our Mission
We are a small group of individuals that are dedicated to the continuation of the disaster relief response in Pisco, Peru. On August 15th 2007 an 7.9 earthquake left a devastating impact on the residents in the affected areas, leaving tens of thousands without homes, proper sanitation and jobs. Now, just over a year since the earthquake, the city is working hard to rebuild their homes, communities, and livelihoods. As returning volunteers we have witnessed the slow (yet steady) progression of the city being rebuilt. Our desire is to not only provide our skills and tools to the families seeking need but to encourage families to work together in supportive efforts to help each other rebuild their houses. Leaving behind a more self reliant, sustainable community that in the future will be less dependant on governmental aid.
